Live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1937 animated film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Check out all the major announcements and updates from D23 2024: Disney’s ultimate fan event. Following comments from Peter Dinklage alleging that the original film portrayed dwarves in a negative light, Disney announced on January 25, 2022 that they would be approaching the characters differently, while consulting with members of the dwarfism community. Many fans of the original, including Dylan Postl, pointed out that many of Dinklage’s remarks were incorrect. For one, he said that the dwarves didn’t live in a cave.
