I live in Darby, MT, where a lot of this is filmed – they were filming just yesterday across from me, in a field with some horses and cattle. I think the show is a pretty solid story, and in that niche, Costner does his best. One thing I noticed in the first season, given my half-Native American side, is that it makes you wonder who the good guys and bad guys are – maybe both sides are good and bad. I have to admit, it’s nice to see them filming. whereas here, the farm is just a road away from me, and I go fishing in the Bitterroot River almost daily.
