The beginning was promising but the story was unnecessarily dragged out by too many episodes!! Half the episodes would have been enough in my opinion. The main character is the Prime Minister. He is supposed to be highly respected and intelligent but he kept making one bad decision after another which (in my opinion) helped to undermine his credibility. I liked the concept of the show – to expose corruption and show how ordinary people can get caught in the crossfire of systemic greed and political machinations. And also point out the dangers of unchecked corporate influence!! But the execution was a bit disappointing.

Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, attempts to take over the criminal underworld in Gotham City. From melted makeup to shooting in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti discuss how they got into character during the production of “The Penguin.” Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful. However, for his own series, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.

The Penguin is just fantastic

Everyone knows what a good actor Colin Farrell is, but here he is unrecognizable as The Penguin. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him nominated for some award for his role in this film. The biggest surprise was Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone.

I was wrong

I wasn’t too sure when I heard she was nominated for this role, she’s a good actress but I didn’t think this role was for her. She is just as good as Farrell in this film and makes you believe that Sofia Falcone is a real match for The Penguin. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see her nominated for some award for her role in this film.

This isn’t your typical DC or Marvel show, it’s a gangster show. This series is set in the underworld of a now half-destroyed Gotham City and is a great continuation of Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
