World War II nurse Claire Beauchamp Randall is mysteriously transported back in time to Scotland in 1743. There, she meets a dashing Highland warrior and is drawn into an epic rebellion. Moore (the series’ creator), his team decided to keep the Gaelic words rather than translate them into English. This preserved the first-person narrative, while showing Claire’s inability to understand Gaelic.
The idea was suggested by producer David Brown, who said he had seen something similar in the film Skin Deep (1998), a foreign alternative film starring actor and singer Gustavo Goulart. ; An American term that was only used in the 19th century. The opening theme song changes from season to season to reflect what is happening in the plot. In the first half of season 2 (which is set in France), some of the lyrics are in French.
The second half of season 2 (which is mostly about preparing for war) has a militaristic drum roll added to the opening theme. Season 3 has added tribal drums, as much of the season takes place in the West Indies. Season 4 has added bluegrass fiddle and banjo, and some of the lyrics are sung in a Southern accent, as the season takes place mostly in America. I’ve never read the Outlander books, so I didn’t really know what to expect. I initially thought it was a women only show, but I was wrong. This show has something for everyone, and I’m so glad I finally gave it a chance, as it has become one of my favorite shows! The only negative thing I have to say about it is that season 6 really wasn’t that good, and this is coming from a fan.

A modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.. A Landman, at least one who works in the petroleum industry, will act as the middleman between the exploration companies and the landowners.
Typically, a landman's job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases, so they can drill oil and gas. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build out roads ,living quarters for the workers (man-camp), assemble the excavation machinery and drill the well itself especially in remote locations.
Since Sicerio I've been all in on anything Sheridans name is attached to. Seeing what he's capable of from his incredible screenplays and films directed in the past, I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed thus far four episodes into Landman.
Maybe its because I had very high expectations coming in with all the big name actors also included, but also venturing into the boomtown lifestyle after an amazing expanding venture into the ranch life.But I feel like Sheridan is having a bit too much fun incorporating wasteful scenes with Tommy's Ex-wife, Ali Larter, and his over-the-top daughter, Michelle Randpolh, who was excellent in 1923. Knowing what he's capable of it's fustrating but with only four episodes in i still have hope that he'll utilize Jon Hamm more and this show will lift off.The mother daughter scenes together are very cringe and I hate to say it but Randolph is just way too over the top and I can't buy into her acting at all.I hope this isn't another project for his own entertainment value as with tulsa king s2 turning into a comedy interrupted by brief moments of great drama (loved the first season).I know Sheridan has his own umbrella and running so many shows but I wish he would focus on quality over quantity because this series has a chance to be excellent giving it gets serious.

In The Day of the Jackal (1973), The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier generation model.. Referenced in Graham Norton i gosti: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). He has a vulnerability that just keeps me wanting to dig deeper into the characters.
Here, as a cold assassin it's a stretch, IMHO, but it does make sense as one "hiding in plain sight." As others have already pointed out, the female lead simply ruined it for me. Why does she keep getting female badass roles is a mystery to me. We have so many other talented actors to choose from.
Didn't think much of her in Captain Marvel, liked her even less bearing 007's number, and now simply ruining the scenes each time she appears. I'll see the series to the end but … so sad this series won't be a rewatch.
Don't know yet how the story will play out but I hope the swap out the Bianca character somehow.

Carag, a shape-shifting cougar raised in the wild, joins Clearwater High, a school for Woodwalkers. With his friends Holly (a squirrel) and Brandon (a bison), he navigates the mysteries and dangers of the Woodwalker world. It’s okay – nothing special, but it’s very book-like. But the actors weren’t that good and the animation was disappointing and the music wasn’t up to par either. I wouldn’t watch it again, but it’s a good movie for young children (and good books that are better than the movie). So: a good movie for kids (but it’s actually clear, it’s a book series for kids and a movie for kids), kids also don’t pay attention to acting, music and animation, so I’ll like it (trust me). I would just recommend that you read the book (or all of them) before watching the movie, because they didn’t really explain everything and what they did explain, they didn’t always explain well.
